    <p>Цель: В статье рассматривается возможность применения синхронных электрических машин с постоянными магнитами (IPMsynRM) в качестве тяговых двигателей на электроподвижном составе железных дорог. Основное внимание уделено особенностям и характеристикам электродвигателя IPMsynRM с целью выявления перспектив его использования на железнодорожном транспорте. Методы: Проведен анализ различных вариантов исполнения электрических машин и особенностей управления ими при использовании в составе тягового электропривода. Результаты: Было установлено, что в качестве тягового двигателя возможно использование синхронного реактивного двигателя с постоянными магнитами IPMsynRM, который благодаря внутреннему расположению магнитов и немагнитным отверстиям в магнитопроводе позволяет обеспечить высокие удельные показатели мощности на единицу массы и объема, КПД, меньший вес и лучший пусковой момента. Обобщены характеристики и особенности IPMsynRM. Рассмотрены попытки его применения на электромобилях и электропоездах, что позволяет выдвигать его на роль потенциального двигателя для транспортных средств. Практическая значимость: Результаты работы имеют значение для транспортной отрасли, так как расширяют представления об особенностях энергоэффективного электродвигателя IPMsynRM с точки зрения его использования в составе тягового электропривода электроподвижного состава на железнодорожном транспорте.</p>

   <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
    <p>Purpose: To consider the potential use of synchronous electric machines with permanent magnets (IPMsynRM) as traction motors on railway electric rolling stock. The primary focus of this study is an analysis of the characteristics of the IPMsynRM electric motor, with the objective of identifying the potential for its utilization in rail transport. Methods: A comprehensive analysis was conducted of a variety of versions of electric machines, with a focus on their control mechanisms when employed as components of a traction electric drive. Results: It was determined that a synchronous reluctance motor with permanent magnets (IPMsynRM) can be utilized as a traction motor. This is due to the internal arrangement of magnets and non-magnetic holes in the magnetic circuit, which provide high specific power per unit of mass and volume, efficiency, reduced weight and enhanced starting torque. The IPMsynRM characteristics and features were summarized in the paper. The utilization of the engine in electric cars and trains is a subject of consideration, thus enabling its proposition as a potential engine for vehicles. Practical significance: The research results will be important for the transport industry, as they expand the understanding of the features of the IPMsynRM energy-efficient electric motor in the aspect of its use as part of a traction electric drive of the railway electric rolling stock.</p>
