Methods: formation of an experiment planning matrix. Conducting an experiment that includes: determining the characteristics of the starting materials, making samples with different binder contents, holding samples, and determining quality characteristics. Analysis of the obtained results. Results: the studied sample of the ash and slag mixture is technogenic powdery sand. According to the modulus of basicity, the ash and slag mixture is super-rich. In terms of mineral composition, the main components of the ash and slag mixture include quartz and feldspar. The carbide sludge contains a significant amount of active calcium hydroxide, which can react with carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate. Based on the results of the work performed, the properties of the initial components were determined and the compositions of the ash and slag mixture reinforced with a binder based on carbide sludge and Portland cement were developed. The dependence of the strength characteristics of the ash and slag mixture reinforced with carbide sludge on the content of carbide sludge is determined. Practical significance: the developed compositions can be used for the construction of an additional layer of the base of the road surface and layers of the roadbed of low technical categories, underlying layers and foundations for floors.
